Introduction to Sailing: 2 Hrs – $100
Prerequisites: None
Description: Experience the magic of sailing with this two-hour introductory course. Hoist the sails and cast off for an action-packed two hour sailing lesson! Learn the lingo, set the sails, and take the tiller. Feel what it’s like to be one with the wind and water. For those with lots of interest but little time – give sailing a try! We know you’ll be back for more.

Learn to Sail (ASA 101 part A): 2 Days – $425
Prerequisites: None
Description: Learn to Sail a 22′ sailboat in light winds and sea conditions in familiar waters under supervision. This course is designed for the novice who wishes to get a solid foundation and a level of confidence before advancing to the more intensive certification courses. Taught on our Catalina Capri 22 keelboats; covers rigging the boat, tacking, jibing, sailing all points of sail, nautical terminology and safety. Serves as a prerequisite for ASA 101, or simply a fun weekend learning to sail!

Basic Keelboat: (ASA 101 part B) 2 Days – $468
Prerequisites: Learn to Sail (ASA 101 Part A) or equivalent course or experience
Description: Learn to Skipper a 22′ sailboat in light to moderate winds and sea conditions in familiar waters without supervision. Taught on our Catalina Capri 22 keelboats; perfect for stability and responsiveness, as well as crew comfort. Build on the basic sailing skills developed in Learn to Sail and progress to docking, mooring, speed control, man-overboard recovery, auxiliary power and basic navigation. Successful completion results in ASA 101 Basic Keelboat Certification, so you can Skipper daysailers with confidence. Our graduates receive their first keelboat rental at the club rate of $125 (50% off the retail price), to put their new skills into practice.

Basic Keelboat: ASA 101 (part A & B) 4 Days – $848
Description: Learn to Sail and Skipper a 22′ sailboat in light to moderate winds and sea conditions in familiar waters without supervision. Taught on our Catalina Capri 22 keelboats; perfect for stability and responsiveness, as well as crew comfort. This course covers rigging the boat, tacking, jibing, sailing all points of sail, nautical terminology and safety. Progress to docking, mooring, speed control, man-overboard recovery, auxiliary power and basic navigation. Basic Coastal Cruising: (ASA 103) 3 Days – $820
Prerequisites: Basic Keelboat Sailing Certificate (ASA 101)
Description: Cruise safely in local and regional waters as both skipper and crew on an auxiliary powered sailboat in moderate winds and sea conditions. For students who already have some auxiliary power experience, this course is taught on the Beneteau 32. New skills include anchoring, mooring ball pickups, reefing, chart-reading, manuevering under power with inboard diesel, and confidently handling a larger sailboat under sail or power. Liveaboard option available for this course.

Bareboat Cruising: (ASA 104) 3 Days – $1265
Prerequisites: ASA Basic Keelboat Sailing and Basic Coastal Cruising Certification
Description: This liveaboard course is the gateway to worldwide bare-boat chartering. A more advanced course for individuals with basic coastal cruising experience, you’ll act as skipper and crew of a 30 – 50 foot boat, sailing by day in coastal waters. This course covers boat systems, maintenance procedures, navigation, provisioning, weather and more advanced sailing skills – the tools you’ll need to charter a cruising boat, or skipper your own. Taught on cruising yachts 32-40′, provisions included.

Basic Coastal Cruising / Bareboat Cruising: (ASA 103/104) 5 Days – $TBD
Prerequisites: ASA Basic Keelboat Certification
Description: Combines basic and intermediate coastal cruising/bareboat charter courses in a 5-day, liveaboard curriculum – a full-immersion experience! By the end of the course, you’ll be able to act as skipper or crew of a 30-50′ cruising sailboat, in preparation for bareboat chartering or handling your own cruising boat. New skills include anchoring, mooring, reefing, chart-reading & navigation, manuevering under power, boat systems, maintenance procedures, provisioning, weather and more advanced sailing skills – the tools you’ll need to confidently handle a larger sailboat under sail or power. This liveaboard course (provisions included) is the gateway to worldwide bare-boat chartering, and is taught on cruising yachts 32-40′.

Coastal Navigation & Piloting: (ASA 105) 4 Days – $425
Prerequisites: None
Description: Demonstrate the navigational theory required to safely navigate a sailing vessel in coastal or inland waters. Practical application of this sailing knowledge is found in the Advanced Coastal Cruising Standard.

Advanced Coastal Cruising: (ASA 106) 5 Days – Price is location dependent. Please call for details
Prerequisites: ASA Basic Keelboat Sailing, Basic Coastal Cruising, Bareboat Cruising and Coastal Navigation Certification
Description: Safely act as skipper and crew of a sailing vessel about 30 to 50 feet in length. This is a day and nighttime Standard in coastal and inland waters, in any weather. This liveaboard course includes provisions and ASA text and certification materials.

Cruising Catamaran: (ASA 114) 3 Days – Price dependent
Prerequisites: Basic Keelboat (101) and Basic Coastal Cruising (103). The Bareboat Cruising Standard (104) is attained in conjunction with BBC Multihull (114). All material in both standards (104 & 114) must be taught and tested before 114 can be awarded. If 104 is already achieved, 114 can be taught as a 2 day course.
Description: An advanced cruising standard for individuals with cruising experience. The individual can act as skipper and crew of a 30-50 foot cruising catamaran sailboat by day in coastal waters. The standard includes those skills unique to a 30-50 foot cruising catamaran.

Docking: (ASA 118 Endorsement) 1 Day – $425
Prerequisites: ASA 103 for certification, but anyone may take course for experience.
Description: This 1-day course builds on the basic docking skills introduced in ASA 103 and 104, developing techniques for handling single engine boats in tight quarters as well as methods of securing boats to docks in a variety of conditions. Maximum 2 students, yields plenty of practice for both.
