Our Team
Jeff & Kami Carlsen are the owners of Sail Solomons. Jeff has been sailing since the age of 4, and Kami joined him sailing in 1988. When they married in 1990, they agreed that they would go sailing for a least a year when Jeff finished his Naval career. After eighteen years of sailing and planning, Jeff, Kami, and children Harry, Karol, Astri & Hannah boarded their 45’ sailboat, and went sailing for two years, cruising over 12,000 miles along the North American east coast, as far north as New Foundland, Canada, and as far south as the Virgin Islands, with countless stops in between, homeschooling all along the way. They are a family of experienced sailors who wish to share their passion for sailing with you.

Bareboat Charters & Day Rentals
Superb Yacht Charters are offered on the Chesapeake Bay, from both Solomons and Annapolis. Our exclusive base in Solomons is homeported at the fabulously-appointed Safe Harbor Zahniser’s, featuring a pool, bar, ensuite restrooms, captain’s lounge with internet, marina-wide wifi, free bikes, laundry, marine store, grassy picnic areas, BBQs and friendly service. Our fleet of modern, well-equipped yachts is meticulously maintained, and equipped for performance, safety, comfort, and fun! All you’ll need to bring is your personal gear and provisions – the rest is onboard. Flexible scheduling allows you to begin or conclude your charter any day of the week, with only a 2-day minimum charter.
Annapolis yachts are homeported at several bases in the Annapolis area – the Chesapeake’s traditional sailing capital. Let us arrange your dream vacation on a new monohull or catamaran from 36’ to 54’, all available for bareboat or captained charters. More yachts, more locations – more choice!
